The beginning of Spring is when the Sun enters the sign of Aries on or about the 21st of March. Ostara has many names but it is always associated with the rights of Spring. The day and night hours have become of equal length. The light is now overtaking the dark. The early pink and white blossom on the cherry trees evidence the warming up; the daffodils too. The plane trees are still without leaves. The people come from their winter slumber. Some think that creatures are impelled to reproduce. The birds are singing their love or enticement songs. Nest building is a full time activity. The Dance begins as the rhythm quickens.
