December 31 3:50 PM the Capricorn Sun sets on London Fields.
As the people leave the park
there was a beautiful warm glow. The old London plane trees are without
leafs and cast long shadows.
The winter Solstice is just
past and the days have started to grow a little longer.

London Fields are a magical place.
I witnessed and tried to record the sunset on the last day of the year.
As I watched the light changed. In all it was only a few minutes/
seconds. The trees seem to be soaking in the sunlight (MS)
J
London Fields are
famous.
They have been there long
enough for Martin Amis to so title a book London
fields
there are local groups too:

I did see magick there that day

The Sun is trine the waning
Gibbous Moon in Virgo. It will not be for some hours before she
rises in the east.
When midnight comes the trees
will be lit by moon light. But for now the Sun is drama.
The shadows cut through the
park giving it a light and dark side.

A few people are still enjoying the setting Sun. Are they seeing
this drama of light.
There is a sort of menace.
Perhaps the moon will not rise as predicted. The trees without leaves
are dormant.

'This is on the historic
"drovers" route, and cuts right across everything in its way.
This historic pathway brought live meat and other produce to this, our
ancient city of Caer Lludd and is probably over two thousand years old,
remaining active until around 1800 when the first buildings
went up. Names such as The Cat & Mutton pub and Sheep Lane are
echoes of its earlier existence.
Today, it is still as straight as
the crow flies, and made up of footpaths, cycle-tracks and roads, which
run through parkland, over the canal and under the railway line'
Says Stephen Selby of
www.offbroadway.org.uk/
a local gallery.
London fields are the last grazing
before before London .

The sun cuts across the path. If
the sun had lasted till 5 30as it does in later in the year the shadows
are parallel with the path. You can tell the time of day by the shadows.
