ending up at Hackney Town Hall and

Visitors can walk the whole route - or duck and dive.
Works
will be displayed by Over 500
painters, photographers, sculptors, fabric designers, weavers, potters and
glass makers.- plus any other creative visual art form you can think
of - and some you haven't
thought of yet. This is an exhibition for established artists - and for

"It's
fun, it's
free - and it's
very professional," says organiser Stephen
Selby. This enterprising and energetic owner of the
successful Off Broadway photographic gallery lives "above the
shop" in Broadway Market,
the street and market which he has helped to revive. Now The
Farmers’-style Market here every Saturday is a strong attraction -
and is on the Mile of Art route. Selby adds:- "No curator or
gallery owner should miss this event - because it's my
aim to make it one of the most important art venues in London for
new talent." |
|
|
”For many years”, Selby continued, “Hackney
has been home for some of the capital's finest artists. But this will be the first time the
art-loving public has a chance to see so many of them all together."
