My wooden model of
Hajar el Hibla aligned with the rising sun at the winter solstice. As I am in
London Latitude 51 32 N and Baalbek is at 34 N the sun in my sky was
much lower. The upper side of the stone is in total darkness. The block totally eclipses
the rising sun.
