The sound of Kurt Rosenwinkel’s seminal group instantly heralded a new era for Jazz with the release of “The Enemies of Energy” on the Verve label in 1999. Possibly the most imitated jazz musician of his generation, Rosenwinkel remains unmatched in vision and playing power, as evidenced by his four groundbreaking Verve releases, and most recently, “The Remedy”, live from New York’s Village Vanguard, on Artistshare Records. His other recent collaborations are with Brad Mehldau (CD called "Deep Song" on Verve Records) and with Bad Plus with with whom he played for the JVC Jazz Festival in New York last June. He also was a member of groups: Paul Motian’s Electric Bebop Band (1992-94), Joe Henderson, Gary Burton, the Brian Blade Fellowship, Joshua Redman, etc. This will be Kurt's long awaited UK appearance in the UK with his own Trio........
